THE word "lady" has kicked off its high heels and snuck into the Berry Springs monthly markets - but it couldn't tame the wild women.
They flocked from across the Top End yesterday to celebrate cracked feet,Christian Louboutin Sandals wild hair and full spirit at the first Feral Ladies Festival.
The fashion parade revealed some cause for concern as the old socks-and-sandals combination made a show. But, these belonged to proud feral Vanessa Cuttriss, of Virginia, who took out the first prize. Her one-year-old son, Bill Banjo, was part of the outfit.

The festival was "chaos", according to organiser Little Flower Hill. "It is great that so many people made it here," Ms Hill said. "We have had a lot of fun."
The winner of a "pants on fire" fibbing contest got a trailer load of cow poo.

The worst feet at the festival belonged to Kima O'Donnell, from Darwin. Feral Lady legends Dianne Orchard and Mrs Mac said: "Those feet need help".
The judges handed Ms O'Donnell the prize - a foot job.
And with an Ode To Toad puppet performance and "F Word" spelling bee, there was a resounding call for the event to become a fixture.
