Upstate men prepare to race in high heels

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Some Upstate men are training to run in the "Run a Mile in Her Shoes" high-heel race at 9 a.m. Christian Louboutin Wedges Sunday in downtown Greenville.
Money raised will benefit the American Diabetes Association's Greenville chapter.
All men who enter must race in a pair of high heels. Though, one of the event organizers said participants do not have to wear stilettos.
Kevin Fort, co-owner of Ecy Shoes n' Chic in Greenville, said safety must come first. Based on his training, he recommended a wedge because it's more comfortable. Fort also said pointed-toe shoes are the most difficult to wear.
The race is about a tenth of a mile. The last day to register is Thursday. Registration costs $25. From each registration fee, Christian Louboutin Boots $15 will go to the American Diabetes Association.
A post-race reception will be held at Soby's New South Cuisine. Soby's will donate a portion of the brunch sales on Sunday to the American Diabetes Association.
