Good food delivered with a smile - and high heels

The service — and the server — at Sonny's Authentic Italian Pizza & Pasta are impeccable.

The waitress, christian louboutin shoes a petite brunette clad in a black skirt and white shirtdress and high heels, flits about the dining room as she serves glasses of wine and large, crusty pizzas with the greatest of ease.
She is so smooth that a woman without my shoe fetish might have missed the 3-inch-tall heels. Waiting tables all night in heels is something even the bravest of women might not manage.
That being said, the dining room is cozy enough to accommodate such an endeavor. A fresco-style painting on the wall features wine bottles, and the room is dotted with small tables. Gauzy curtains keep the glow inside; grapes hang from trellises.
Caesar salad, ubiquitous and bland at some establishments, excels. Oversized crisp romaine pieces are dressed in a tangy dressing, christian louboutin specials thick shavings of parmesan cheese and large croutons. The dressing is creamy without being unctuous and is redolent with garlic.
The soup one cold evening features a hearty broth with carrots, tomatoes and black beans. The soup is flavorful, but the beans are a tad undercooked.
Sonny's pies are excellent. The sourdough thin crust flops under the weight of toppings but puffs around the edge.

The Italian pizza, which appeals to me because it's touted on the menu "for the true Italian," features pepperoni, Italian sausage, anchovies, fresh mushrooms, garlic, oregano, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. The anchovies bring brine to balance the richness of the meats, and the garlic provides an earthy pungency.
Cheese-filled manicotti topped with Neapolitan tomato sauce and melted mozzarella and parmesan are the special one night and come with accomplices of green beans and garlic bread.
The beans are delightful — even a friend who doesn't normally like beans enjoys them; sautéed in brown butter, they are nutty and robust, and onion slivers add sweetness. Garlic bread is soft and buttery and sprinkled with minced garlic and parsley flakes.
The half-n-half, a pasta dish comprising half spaghetti and half veal ravioli topped with meat sauce, is great for someone who can't decide what to order.

The ravioli are tender and perfectly cooked; their veal filling is mild. The meat sauce, or Bolognese to sticklers, is robust, christian louboutin pumps composed of pork sausage, ground beef and mushrooms.
For dessert, try the spumoni, Italian pistachio-flavored ice cream. It's the best I've had and delivers delicious pistachio flavor without the impediment of pesky chunks of the nut itself.
Crème caramel offers a custard that floats in a pool of caramel and is topped with citrus whipped cream and lime and lemon zest. The idea of the citrus brightening the rich custard and caramel is good, but somehow it doesn't quite work.
I wonder if that waitress is still working Sonny's in heels. I might have to stop by for another visit to find out.
